When our customer needed to backlight their decorative doorsill applique, they teamed up Fiberoptic for a solution. Our patented Uni-Glo technology was selected due to its ultra-thin, panel construction and the ability to withstand a variety of environmental conditions without deterioration.
Due to specific automotive requirements, the Uni-Glo technology was also selected due to its capability to remote
the LED light source away from the doorsill pocket well. The Uni-Glo technology is also heat and EMI-free and provides superior brightness,
uniformity, and longer life compared to other types of lighting
technologies.
